For many flour mills, in order to ensure production can commence smoothly, it is common practice to stockpile a certain amount of raw grain; after all, daily output is substantial. To safeguard the quality of this raw grain, the installation of a wheat conditioning silo is essential. Below, we provide a detailed overview of the features of wheat conditioning silos used in flour milling equipment:

  1. A wheat conditioning silo is a storage chamber used for conditioning wheat. After the wheat has been thoroughly cleaned, water is added to the silo to moisten it for a dozen or so hours, after which it is processed using a complete set of flour milling equipment. This silo is the wheat conditioning silo. If the volume being processed is relatively small, there is no need for a wheat conditioning silo. However, for large-scale processing enterprises with substantial output, it is necessary to use a wheat conditioning silo for this purpose.

  2. There are two types of wheat moistening silos for flour milling equipment. For smaller storage volumes, a pit can be dug and lined with a concrete tank, which can hold approximately two to three thousand catties of wheat. The other type is a rectangular structure built with bricks, capable of storing larger quantities of wheat; this is suitable for flour mills with higher processing volumes.

  When the wheat moistening silo for flour milling equipment is in operation, a low-speed synchronous induction drive motor drives the rotating measuring blades. As soon as the measuring blades come into contact with the material, their rotation is impeded, The synchronous induction motor is freely suspended, causing a reverse torque to act on a microswitch, which generates a corresponding electrical contact signal and simultaneously stops the motor. When the paddle buried in the material regains freedom of movement, a spring pulls the motor back to its working position, the microswitch returns to its initial position, and the contact output signal is deactivated. By connecting the contact output signal to an automatic control system, level alarms and interlocks for the silo can be implemented.
