Ensuring coordination between the various stages of flour milling machinery

To ensure the quality of the final product from flour milling machinery, a scientifically designed process flow is required, along with the appropriate configuration of equipment to form a complete production line, in order to achieve optimal production results. However, given the numerous stages involved in flour milling machinery, how exactly can we ensure coordination between the various processes?

It is important to note that the production process of flour milling machinery involves many stages, of which flour cleaning is a particularly crucial one. The configuration parameters and requirements of the flour cleaning system are determined by the quantities of material subjected to scraping, milling, bran production and germ extraction. The quality of flour cleaning is influenced by the operator’s skill level, the moisture content and hardness of the raw grain, the parameter settings of the wholemeal flour mill, and the scraping specifications. As the particle size range of the material entering the flour cleaner is limited and must not contain excessive fine powder, a screening system is employed.

　　The cleaned wheat is conveyed to the feed hopper of the first-stage mill. After milling, flour is separated by a circular sieve; the separated flour enters the flour collection pipe, whilst the sieve-top material—comprising the wheat germ and bran—is collected by a receiver and conveyed pneumatically into the cyclone unloader on the second-stage mill. It then enters the second-stage mill via an airlock for further milling.

　　The ground material is again screened by a circular sieve; the flour enters the collection pipe, whilst the oversize material, as before, enters the discharge hopper of the third roller mill. This process continues sequentially through to the fifth roller mill. The oversize material from the fifth roller mill is conveyed via a pipeline and lifted by an elevator to the final circular sieve. After screening, the oversize material—which is bran—is discharged via the elevator and is then ready for baling.
